We had a great experience at Il Fornaio and reservations are quite easy to get even day-of. The service here was incredibly fast given the place wasn't packed. Right away they noticed we had our daughter with us and offered to charge the ipad after overhearing it was low on battery (huge win!). They have a kids menu with smaller portions for little ones and if you are a seafood fan, the Linguine Mare Chiaro is a must try. The Italian overall was generally heavy with lots of extra virgin olive oil used in many of their dishes so make sure your eyes match your stomach in size when ordering. We didn't try their dessert menu but it looked amazing at a near by table.

If Il Fornaio has a biggest fan, that biggest fan is me. This is my favorite location by far. A cozy dining experience with delicious food. You can't go wrong with any of their pasta dishes but my personal favorite is the bolognese. We ended our dinner with limoncello and espresso shots, a must! Service was great & quick. We were running late to our reservation and they were very kind about it

Great place for breakfast. We were staying at the Pine Inn and decided to go there and try it out. We were not disappointed! The Bloody Mary was good and the coffee was delish! Love all of the options for breakfast too. We will definitely be back!

The pizza is bomb and the drinks too. Sergio is awesome and has a good sense of humor! Definitely coming back here!

I was invited to a wedding that was located here and was really impressed with the food and service. I've been to a few location in the Bay Area but this location in particular is my favorite because of how nice the interior was. We got a handful of appetizers from the fried calamari, bread with olive oil, some anti pasta bites. Then for entree I got the bolognese. The portions were good and it was pretty tasty. Would definitely recommend to friends

This is our favorite place for dinner while in Carmel. We love the Sunroom where there are lots of windows to see the sun go down or enjoy the view during the day. The servers were very pleasant and professional.We love the afogatto dessert. Try it you'll love it.

Highly Recommend Il Fornaio for an enjoyable night cap in Carmel! The weather was so nice and my partner and I were walking around to get a drink somewhere because he was craving an Irish coffee! We stumbled into Il Fornaio just because it was close to out hotel. The bartender was so kind to make him an Irish coffee despite it not being on the menu and I had a delicious espresso martini with notes of hazelnut!
